The Center for World Music proudly announces its inaugural series of six performances in 2022 at Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park. The series includes classical and folk music and dance traditions that introduce you to the sounds, aesthetics, and cultural significance of the music of select regions from around the world.

SK Kakraba is a world-renowned virtuoso on the Ghanaian gyil, a wooden xylophone with gourd resonators that are punctured with holes covered in the silk of spider cocoons.
