Mark your calendar for the Ninth Annual Music and Dance Festival, March 14-20, 2016, presented by the Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego (IFAASD) and sponsored by the Center for World Music. This festival has established a well-deserved reputation as one of the major events in North America for South Asian performing arts.
The festival includes Carnatic and Hindustani vocal and instrumental concerts, Bharata Natyam, Kathak, and Odissi dance forms, and Yakshagana dance drama. The artists include T.N. Krishnan, Sudha Ragunathan, Aruna Sairam, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pappu Venugopala Rao, Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Kartik Seshadri, Mandolin Rajesh, Pantula Rama, Gowri Ramnarayan, Gayathri Venkataraghavan, Saketha Raman, Shivanand Hegde, and many others.
The Center for World Music is proud to partner with the IFAASD in this not-to-be-missed event.
