Join gifted young multi-instrumentalist and singer Dlan Dary performing a free concert featuring music of Syria at Del Mar Library.
Dlan Dary was born in Al-Hasakah, Syria. Although Dlan is blind, he was recognized for his talent on the buzuq, a long-necked fretted lute, and first appeared on national TV at age 6. Largely self-taught, Dlan plays more than eight instruments—including the buzuq, bağlama, oud, darbuka, and tanbūra. He also sings in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
This performance is made possible with the generous support of the Friends of the Del Mar Library.
