Enjoy music from Bulgaria and other Balkan countries performed by the musicians of Tzidia at La Mesa Library.
A San Diego-based ensemble, Tzidia performs ethnic dance music from the Balkans and surrounding areas, plus Scandinavia. Expect to see traditional instruments of the region and to hear exciting and unusual rhythms! The group features Marie Hayes (vocals), Paul Johnson (violin), Mary Marshall (percussion), Mary Ann Downs Tanaka (vocals and tambura), and Dan Ziagos (accordion).
